Exquisite Early Picasso

The great home where this impressive early Picasso now resides can be viewed at Mediterranean Masterpiece – Phoenix Home & Garden . Prior to that it appears to have been in the collection of G.D. Thompson (1899-1965). There is a Thompson inventory certificate verso indicating that it is a work by Picasso. It is not known when Thompson acquired it. There is also a small and ancient professional repair verso that suggests it has long been considered to be valuable work of art worth maintaining. There is also a Winsor and Newton certificate dated 1925 verso identifying it as a Picasso. There is also an ancient and indecipherable stamp verso which appears to be dated. An investor has indicated a willingness to pay part of the purchase price with the buyer having full possession if the buyer will agree to have it forensically analyzed and sold when Sotheby’s begins accepting forensics as proof of authenticity.
